Product Review - Herbal Essences Extreme Shine

I find myself wondering how it has come about that I am writing a blog post on hair products. You may be wondering why? This is because I rarely get excited about such a boring thing (in my opinion) as shampoo and conditioner. However, when my mum brought these gems home, little did I know that these two bottles of heaven would make my hair change so dramatically and almost over night. So I thought these two products would be worth a review.
May I also just add I side note that I never manage to use a shampoo and conditioner set, they are usually by different brands, so I also shocked myself at this as well.

To kick off this review, I would like to mention how difficult it usually is for me to find a shampoo and conditioner which actually does something to my hair, this is because I have such thick hair the cheap, liquidy hair products never seem to work on my hair and it's back to it's usual frizzy self within hours. However, after finding this duo I don't think I'll ever use anything else.

On the bottle, Herbal Essences claim to give a 'dazzling shine', well I totally agree with this claim. After just a few uses my hair was feeling so bouncy and I have been getting compliments saying how 'lovely my hair looked' - direct quote from my mother. Not only this but because I have such thick hair I find that when I am using everyday supermarket hair products my hair just feels so heavy and has no life what so ever! But now my hairs got a life of its own (in a good way), I don't think it has ever felt so nourished and full of goodness!!

Before I give myself a heart attack from getting too excited by just talking about this product, I'll wrap it up here. One final point though, I think I am going to end up having to peel the packaging from the front as I like to see how much product I have left so I know when to rush out to the shops and buy a new one and for me and my thick hair this is very quickly. Apart from this, if you get the chance to try this product out, DO and let me know what you think of it!

Thanks for reading

NOTD ~ Nails Of The Day #1

So after much deliberation on what to do for today's post and browsing through multiple websites which were no use to me what so ever. I finally stumbled across a more promising website which gave me the idea which I have decided upon for today's post. I am actually surprised I didn't think of this idea myself as my nails were in much need of being painted (what nails I have anyway) and I am constantly changing my nail polish to try and get through the collection which has somehow formed.

I would first of all like to apologise for the horrendous lighting of the following photos, it is now getting to the time of the year when the light seems to have almost completely disappeared by the time I get back from sixth form and so I had to go with the best lighting I could for now.

As the seasons have changed, I decided it was about time that I say 'hello' to my darker nail polishes which have been sitting at the bottom of my drawer and have yet to make an appearance. So as you can (or probably not) see from the photo, I chose a dark purple for the base of the nail colour and then applied a shimmery colour on the top which gave (what I thought looked like) a space effect. Perfect!

The Autumn Tag

It's that time of the year again, yes, it is October, which means Autumn has arrived and Winter will soon be here. So what better time to do: 'The Autumn Tag'? I am one of those people who claim to love Autumn and Winter but moan like an old woman when the coldness arrives so I do apologise to anyone who has witnessed me on a cold day but I do love everything else which comes with Autumn so let's get started!

Autumn/Winter Foundations

As the year has completely flown by and we now somehow find ourselves in October, I thought it would be appropriate for my first blog post to introduce you to some of my 'go-to' or autumn/winter foundations.I thought this would be the perfect opportunity for me to share the foundations I always go running back to when the weather gets chilly and the wind is blowing so hard in your face that it is impossible to see.
